But we need your participation. Please poke through a few of the pages here on our site and drop me a line. Without you, Quidmont will not grow. With you we can grow into a writer's forum that will be the things all of us want as aspiring authors. Here, you may find your calling as an editor, reviewer or other luminary in the world of literature.
Don't discount the power we all have here. If you feel that you're not a true author unless you have a paper book published through a traditional press, you are missing a great opportunity.
At Quidmont, your work can be published right here, on this site for everyone to see. You won't have to wait, desperately hoping that a high powered editor may deign to read your work. Instead, you have the opportunity to take your work directly to the world. Let the reading public be your editors. Have fellow authors help you improve your work.
How better to get to the point where you feel comfortable submitting your master work to a traditional publisher? With enough readers helping you improve your work, you may even have that elusive editor knocking on your door!
So get in on the ground floor. This site is very new. New enough that you still have the chance to be the first true entry on this web site. If you check out the current site you will find work here. But it's mainly there as examples of writing. Something to show that this site is committed to helping aspiring authors. And as a way to let you see that if these stories, poems, scripts and so on can make it here, there's no reason why your work can't.
Be the writer you've always wanted to be. Submit something here and become the first "published author" on Quidmont! Years from now when we're all rich and famous, writing our autobiographies and making appearances on the touring author's circuit, this will give you something to look back on.
